Amazónico – Madrid

Amazónico is part of the renowned Paraguas family of restaurants which serves a fusion of delicious Brazilian and Asian food. In Madrid it is located in the trendy Jorge Juan area in the posh Salamanca district, but there are branches in London, Dubai, and Monte Carlo as well which is a testament to its success. I loved the Amazon jungle ambiance too! Remember to make a reservation beforehand because it fills up quickly.

jungle themed ambiance – spot the giraffe at the back!

Below are the dishes we had. I liked everything! The food was not only good but beautifully and creatively presented.

LEFT: lamb kofta with yogurt and tamarindo TOP: pibil style fried plantains with pork and achiote RIGHT: homemade creole choricitos sautéed with chilean pebre

river prawn and coconut curry with with basmati rice

I can’t remember which steak this was haha, but I posted the menu below to show the availabilities. This was good but comparable to other good steaks I’ve tried, nothing out of the ordinary
cute presentation of ice creams – but you have to eat it fast before it melts!

Chocolate Moctezuma – this was really yummy, we ended up ordering another one!
Someone in our group knew one of the resto personnel, so they gave us this dessert with a welcome sign. So nice of them!

Below from the menu, you can see the variety of interesting dishes, I wanted to try so many of them!
