Metronome is a modern fine-dining French restaurant, managed by Miko Calo, a former sous chef at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon. It opened about two years ago, but I only got around to trying it recently. I really enjoyed the food, plus the ambiance was nice and quiet, and they had good service, so I wanted to share my experience.
The Bar – first thing you see when you step inThis is half of the dining area. There is also a private room at the backthese seats are pretty, but we decided not to stay here because it’s hard to get in and out of that couch seat
Now here’s the food!
Maple Carrot & Cashew Salad. I really liked this combination. The salad was full of flavor, even the carrots alone were tastyLobster Spaghettini: butter-poached Maine lobster, salmon roe, spaghettini, prawn beurre monté. This pretty much tasted as I imagined! It was actually part of the set menu, but they allowed me to have it on its ownDuck Confit served with Potato Gratin – I didn’t personally try this, but it was good according to my friend who is well-versed in duck dishesDark Chocolate Mousse. This pretty much tasted like the classic chocolate mousse, which is a good thing! Points also for the unique presentationPavlova with fruit inside rather than on top – pineapple and coconut flavour. An original and yummy flavor Not on the menu, but it was the birthday “cake”
There are more things on the menu I want to try, so I’m definitely going back!
